A cult Dalston bakery and one of the best pre-match breakfasts in east London. Famous for potato sourdough, sell-out morning buns and doorstop focaccia sandwiches, all baked in-house. The original site at Abbot Street Car Park, a straight Overground to Stratford for a West Ham matchday.

A De Beauvoir institution and the best pre-match breakfast stop on this side of the Emirates. On Southgate Road since 2009, doing proper coffee, fresh bread, bagels, pastries and sandwiches, with an all day brunch menu in the dine-in cafe across the road.

Victorian corner gastropub on the Hackney and Islington border, known locally as the DB Arms. Food led, no TV, no music.
Real talk: The Tollington queue after 2pm is genuinely brutal. The Famous Three Kings? Get there 90 minutes early, grab a London Pride, and you'll actually have a seat by kick-off.
