The spot

Why go here?

The Golden Lion is Fulham FC's official supporters pub and has been for years, run by GM Peter Eagan. It sits on Fulham High Street, a five-minute walk from Craven Cottage, and pulls a full house before and after every home game. This is not a gastropub and it does not pretend to be one. It is a proper old-school boozer with cheap pints, big screens for live sport and a large heated beer garden out back that keeps going long after the final whistle.

  • Fulham FC's official supporters pub
  • Five minutes from Craven Cottage on foot
  • Large heated beer garden at the back
  • Big screens for live sport across the pub
  • Thursday quiz night pulls a steady local crowd
  • Cheap pints, £3.50 Carling is the standout
  • Building dates back to 1455, the oldest pub in Fulham

Best moment to visit

Pre-match in the garden with the Fulham crowd

  • First pint of Carling at the bar
  • A seat under the heaters in the beer garden
  • Away fans and home fans mixing before kick-off
  • The short walk down Fulham High Street to Craven Cottage

Heads up: matchdays are rammed. Get there at least an hour before kick-off if you want a table.

Local tip 🇬🇧

The building has been standing since 1455 and Led Zeppelin used it as a hangout in the 1970s while recording at nearby Manticore Studios. Ask at the bar, someone will always tell you the story.
